The 11th IFAC Conference on Manufacturing Modelling, Management, and Control (MIM 2025), organized by the NTNU Production Management Research Group and Logistics 4.0 Lab, will be held in Trondheim, Norway, from June 30 to July 3, 2025.
This renowned event will bring together leading researchers and practitioners to explore innovative approaches and advancements in manufacturing and logistics, aiming to address modern challenges and create impactful solutions for a better world.
A special highlight of this year’s conference is its overarching theme: “Research and Innovation on Manufacturing and Logistics for a Better World”. With a focus on interdisciplinary and innovative methods, the event will spotlight topics such as digital transformation, Industry 4.0/5.0, sustainable supply chains, AI and automation, and human-centric manufacturing.

The aim of the 11th IFAC Conference on Manufacturing Modelling, Management, and Control (MIM 2025) is to provide a platform for the presentation of innovative advances, research findings, and key topics in the fields of modern and future manufacturing modeling, management, and logistics. This event will bring together experts from academia and industry to address challenges and leverage emerging technologies to create impactful solutions for society.
Special Section: “Innovations in Sustainable and Digital Manufacturing and Logistics”
The aim of the Special Section on “Innovations in Sustainable and Digital Manufacturing and Logistics” is to explore the latest advancements in manufacturing and logistics, focusing on the integration of digital transformation, robotics, AI, circular economy, and human-centric approaches. This section will highlight strategies for enhancing resilience, efficiency, and sustainability within the rapidly evolving industrial and societal landscape.
Paper publication
We invite researchers to submit their contributions to be included in the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series, published by Elsevier and indexed in Scopus. Best papers may be invited for post-conference publication in leading journals, such as the International Journal of Production Research (IJPR), Annals of Operations Research (ANOR), Flexible Services and Manufacturing Journal (FLEX), and others.
