The X-HuLog4.0 project brought together researchers from the consortium for an online seminar dedicated to sharing ongoing research, discussing emerging results, and strengthening scientific collaboration in the field of Human-Centered Logistics 4.0.
The seminar provided a platform for researchers from VILNIUS TECH, NTNU, Saarland University and TU Darmstadt to present their work and exchange perspectives on current challenges at the intersection of logistics, digitalisation, automation and human-centered systems.
The presentations covered a broad range of topics, including strategic decision-making and digital technology implementation, human factors and ergonomics, Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)-assisted order picking, human-centered AI and Industry 5.0, strategic alignment, supply chain resilience, and data-driven logistics applications. The discussions demonstrated the interdisciplinary character of X-HuLog4.0 research and the importance of considering both technological performance and human needs when developing the logistics systems of the future.
Beyond presenting individual research activities, the seminar created an opportunity to receive feedback from colleagues, identify links between research topics and explore possibilities for further joint research. Such exchanges are an important part of X-HuLog4.0’s objective to strengthen research excellence and facilitate long-term knowledge transfer between partner institutions.
The online seminar once again highlighted the value of bringing together expertise from different disciplines and institutions to advance more sustainable, digital and human-centered logistics systems.
