We are pleased to announce that on August 28, 2024, the first partner meeting of the international scientific project Excellence in Human-Centered Logistics 4.0 (X-HuLog4.0) was held in Vienna, Austria. The project is funded by the European Union.

Representatives from all participating academic institutions attended the meeting, including VILNIUS TECH, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUDa), and Saarland University (USAAR).

During the first project meeting, participants briefly introduced their respective organizations, discussed their main responsibilities within the project, and presented the key team members contributing to the project’s implementation. The project leader, Prof. Dr. Aurelija Burinskienė, provided an overview of the main objectives of the X-HuLog4.0 project, the structure of the work packages, the key project stages, and upcoming events.

The project partners and their responsibilities were introduced by the team leaders: Prof. Dr. Aurelija Burinskienė (VILNIUS TECH), Prof. Dr. Fabio Sgarbossa (NTNU), Prof. Dr. Christoph H. Glock (TUDa), and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Eric Grosse (USAAR). The meeting was also attended by other team members from the universities.

The VILNIUS TECH team was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jolanta Nalivaikė, Dr. Jelena Kabulova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olga Lingaitienė, and Gvidas Lingaitis. NTNU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sotirios Panagou and Amir Zare. TUDa was represented by Dr. Subraata Panja, and Michael Bauer represented USAAR.

Additionally, the European Research Executive Agency representative, Research Program Manager Paula Valente Correia, participated in the meeting and presented the key aspects of the Horizon funding program’s implementation.
